About this deal

Novel OCT Application and Optimized YAG Laser Enable Visualization and Treatment of Mid- to Posterior Vitreous Floaters. It is a journey from the social and the historical, through the individual connections of vibrant lives, and back again. Vintage Espada—essential, topical, political, irrepressible; in his poems mercy acquires muscle and close attention confers value—reminding us that protest and praise rise from the same source. Eye floaters shouldn’t normally have an impact on your vision, however relatively big floaters may be distracting and can affect your ability to concentrate, making tasks such as driving or reading more difficult. As former LAPD detective Joseph Wambaugh's FLOATERS depicts, it's not a pretty business, most clients aren't like Richard Gere and people will stop at nothing to win--not even murder.

From fiberglass hulls and westerly swell to southern chop, everyone is just floating and hoping, filling time and space with racing jargon and Cup politics, but you can't predict the out-of-town sailing crowd. As a person who remembers well that America's cup (being a kiwi) it was interesting reading a novel set in San Diego at that time. Floaters offers exuberant odes and defiant elegies, songs of protest and songs of love from one of the essential voices in American poetry. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.Jumping Off the Mystic Tobin Bridge, Floaters, and The Five Horses of Doctor Ramón Emeterio Betances were personal favorites. I was really intrigued by the copy for this book and the themes and topics it sought to tackle, like immigration, discrimination, racism, family, and many others. An origin poem (“The Story of How We Came to America”) and a wry poem (“Why I Wait for the Soggy Tarantula of Spinach”) recount Espada’s parents’ first date. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed Wambaugh and will now work (hardly work) my way through more of his books. As an attorney, he served as supervisor of Su Clínica Legal, a legal services program for low-income, Spanish-speaking tenants in Chelsea, Mass.

I wasn’t moved by the poems, and there was no sentimentality, no brush of the human that moves me when trying to read activist poetry.

I got tired of reading about cops make insulting remarks about the general public they were protecting, and the sordid details of prostitutes massaging their white male clients’ prostate glands and the cop who happily commits adultery at the drop of a hat. Some novels are interesting when they’re first released because they deal with a contemporary event that’s fresh in the reader’s mind. Wambaugh] dazzles with his intimate knowledge of police life, black humor, raunchy dialogue, and a cast of nineties choirboys. The plot does have a nice twist at the end, but it wasn't worth the trouble of getting there, at least for me. If Martín Espada's name weren't on the book, I would still recognize the poems as his, the stories that so exactly capture the shaping moments of his life and the lives of others, resonant, particular and yet universal, rendered into a lovely, unique lyricism―with a hard-won maturity.
